Florida Spots to Visit

We rave about Florida quite a bit in this blog if you haven’t noticed already. We LOVE where we live. Beautiful weather year round, incredible sights, and an array of enticing attractions for human beings of all ages to enjoy. That’s why Florida has become one of the most popular vacation destinations. We have so much to offer that it may get overwhelming at times. So, in order to help you make some vacation plans to visit us this summer, here’s a list of Florida Spots to Visit!

St. Augustine and Amelia Island

Two beautiful vacation destinations that are located fairly close to our FDC Jacksonville office. Both of these area’s are great for those that want a laid back, relaxed stay. St. Augustine is just south of Jacksonville and is considered the oldest city in the United States. It is a treasure trove of history and charm. You can explore the cobblestone streets, visit historical architecture, and see the Castillo de San Marcos- a 17th Century fortress made out of Coquina stone.

Located northeast of Jacksonville is Amelia island. Its laid back atmosphere, pristine beaches, and Victorian architecture are what draw many people here time and time again. Fernandina Beach is a great spot to explore, with it’s Historic district boasting charming storefronts and cafe’s. You can enjoy walking on Centre street, taking all of this in or unwind on the beach and enjoy the quiet tranquility that Amelia island has to offer.

Orlando: Magic and Thrills

Orlando is an incredibly popular destination. People from all over the world flock here for the sunshine and theme parks. Families of all ages can find so much to do here but the Main attractions are Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Walt Disney World is one of Florida’s largest attractions. You can immerse yourself in magic here and really feel as though you’ve been transported to a whole new world. With four immersive parks and 22 different resort hotels for your family to enjoy, its quite the vacation destination.

Universal Studios is another immersive theme park destination in Orlando. This theme park is based more on cinematic experiences and caters more to thrill seeking individuals but is still very appropriate and fun for families of all ages. There are three different parks associated with Universal Studios, each offering a different experience and a few resort hotel options for your family’s stay.

Our FDC Orlando Office has had the pleasure of servicing both of these locations and we hope to continue that business relationship for many years to come!

Melbourne: Sun, Sand, and Space!

Melbourne, the place FDC HQ calls home! Very conveniently centrally located, its a great spot for those that wish to avoid staying near the large crowds. An hour from Orlando, a short drive to Cocoa Beach, and close to the Kennedy Space Center, it’s a great location.  Cocoa Beach is a surfer’s paradise and has been known to many as a popular vacation destination. Home to one of the famous Ron Jon Surf Shop and many water sport adventures, it’s a great place for families to visit!

If you’re looking for an educational visit, you can visit the Kennedy Space Center. Its a great place to learn about space exploration, marvel at space shuttles, and maybe even witness a rocket launch for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Of course there are also many beautiful beaches located in and around Melbourne outside of these destinations.  If you’re looking for something super close, there’s no shortage of things to see here!

Florida Spots to Visit

Tampa: The Gulf Coast

The place FDC Tampa calls home, has no shortage of things to see and do! Between the many Sports teams, beautiful beaches, and a variety of attractions nearby, there is so much happening here.

Clearwater beach is a very popular beach near Tampa. Clearwater is a beautiful location with powdery white sands and crystal clear waters. The sights are incredible and it is a wonderful place to visit. Nearby is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, a rehabilitation and education center for Marine animals that can no longer support themselves in the wild. We’ve had the pleasure of doing business with them for quite some time and are glad to be apart of something so helpful to Marine life.

Another theme park destination in Florida is the Busch Gardens in Tampa. A diverse mix of wildlife and thrills, Busch Gardens offers a unique experience. Between the animal encounters and exhilarating rides, it provides entertainment of the whole family.

Fort Lauderdale: Sun Soaked Sand and Stylish Streets

FDC Fort Lauderdale lives in another great spot for those wishing to experience some of the most beautiful parts of Florida. With some of its own destinations and a short drive to Miami, its a great location.

Fort Lauderdale beach is where golden sands meet the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. You can relax by the shore, take a stroll along the promenade, or try various water activities to make the most of your coastal experience. Las Olas Boulevard is a popular place to get a taste of the local scene. Lined with shops, galleries, and restaurants, its a hub of artistic atmosphere.

Miami being so close makes it a no-brainer to visit. Miami has been popular for many years and will continue to be with how much it has to offer vacationers. Between the Cuban food, South beach, and local art, it will keep you occupied for days.

More Florida Spots to Visit

Florida fish and wildlife is also very interesting.  Whether its Historic landmarks, space exploration, gorgeous beaches, or a mixed bag of it all, you can have it! Come and Enjoy all that the Sunshine state has to offer!
